In the spirit of summer being a year round thing for us, I got you with a few spots that will give you that much needed refreshment on these hot ass Miami days!
These are MY Top 5 Summer Bites in Miami (sticking to the mainland, Sorry to my south beach and Kendall homies, lol)
In no particular order...
The Tropical Sandwich at Le Sandwicherie
Now here me out.. I get it but when you see what’s in this bad boy you’ll understand what I mean.
Whats in it? Avocado, Fresh Mozzarella, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Papaya, Mango and Pineapple! Let me tell you, one of the most refreshing amazing things I’ve ever eaten. Add some chicken for a little razzle dazzle but the original is fine with me! Shout to Le Sandwicherie
Passion Fruit Paleta at Morelia’s Gourmet Paletas
This take on Mexican Paletas was next level for me… a passion fruit… frozen fruit pop! with a condensed milk filling! Taste buds were buzzing, honestly take a look at the menu and I don’t see any item that you will be disappointed with, especially in these brutal Miami summers!
Send me some Paletas guys! (Pause)
Pineapple Express Açaí Bowl at OOH RAW! Poke & Juice Bar
Thank god for meetings, if it weren’t for that, I’d never walk into this gem. I thought I was going to order some poke until I saw someone eating out of a pineapple so i needed to investigate! The pineapple express acai bowl was packed with refreshing bursts of flavor, the acai, pineapple, bananas, strawberries, kiwis, coconut, the honey, I think I tasted natures version of “everything but the kitchen sink” it was great. Worth baking in the sun for.
An assortment of oysters from The Lazy Oyster
My family from Texas are obsessed with oysters and on a hot ass Saturday I took them to The Smorgasburg and beelined straight to The Lazy Oyster, I recommend you try every single one they offer, you won’t be disappointed! They also offer private shucking if you’re tryna be fancy at your next bbq/pool party ;)
Cherry Icee at A.C.’s Icees
Being a kid in New York, Italian ice’s and Slurpees were my go to’s for a hot summer day but when I moved to Miami I realized that there weren’t any Italian ices around and my life was in shambles until my friend took me to A.C.’s .. now they’re not exactly an Italian ice but man! It’s pretty damn good! Frozen lemonades, a hot dog and a heatstroke. The Miami way
