Blessed with a cultural heritage of Cape Verde and his upbringing in Boston, United States, Wal Gee is able to merge that unique African/Portuguese sound with his influences which range from Kid Capri, Roger Sanchez, Frankie Knuckles, Funkmaster Flex, DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Qbert, Black Coffee, Calvin Harris, DJ Snake, Robbie Rivera, Junior Vasquez, Carl Cox and DJ Khaled. However, it was his original exposure to Hip Hop and Turntablism which energised him to explore all the genres he drops from the booth.
Now based out of Miami, his dynamic sets are testament to his capacity to read a dancefloor and reciprocate his love of music through an ever-evolving blending of styles that are not limited by others expectations.
